The animal I am writing about is the scarlet macaw It lives in the rain forest environment. Recently, there has been an environmental shift such as the temperature is getting hotter. Right now, this animal survives by using traits like eating fruits and nuts, and there sharp claws to grip on branches. These traits help the animal survive. In the future, the animal may need to develop new survival traits such as adapt on rocky cliffs or eat new types of food in order to survive in the changing environment. The biological response to this environmental change may include eating different types of nuts, which helps the animal not starve This response increases the animal’s chance of survival.
