The Amazon Dolphin ore known as the pink dolphin lives only in freshwater. It is also found in the freshwater by the Amazon rainforest and Orinoco river basins in Bolivia, Brazil,Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, and Venezuela. Amazon Dolphins come in all shades of pink, to rosy colored pink, to a bright pink like that of the flamingo. This color variation is due to the clarity of the water in which the dolphin lives; the darker the water, the pinker the dolphin will be. Sadly the pink dolphin is in danger they will face threats from overfishing accidental entanglement in nets, boat traffic, habitat loss and prolonged drought. Colombia says it’s tackling illegal mining and mercury pollution. So that is all about the Amazon river dolphin or known as the pink dolphin.
