This is the Potoo Bird, a family of birds belonging to the Nyctibiidae. They have exceptional camouflage, and it looks almost exactly like a tree stump. This is how it catches prey and hides from predators. It also has slits in eyelids that let it see even when it's eyes are closed. The Potoo lives in the Amazon Rainforest, feeding on flying insects. It prefers roosting in high tree branches and waiting for insects to come to them. However, due to climate change, these taller branches will become scarcer. Potoos will have to adapt to accommodate for these changes. They will most likely develop a body suited for fast flying, like sharper wings for fast turns and a streamlined body to be aerodynamics. This can help it escape predators and catch fast prey.
