The present habitat for a green anaconda is slow moving rivers, streams, swamps, and marshes. I predict that with deforestation, the rainforests that the green anaconda currently thrives in will turn into a savannah due to loss of trees and evaporation of water due to the lack of shade. A savannah is a grassy plain with scattered trees and bushes. I named the adapted version of the green anaconda the Snidarp or Serpens brachium tela. The main adaptation of the Snidarp is that it has small arms to walk over the dry terrain. The arms also help with catching prey by throwing pebbles at it for distraction. The Snidarp likes to travel in groups to hunt its prey. Group hunting allows them to catch prey efficiently and use less energy. Its prey consists of small mammals like mice, rabbits, possums.
