In the future, I think that the spider monkey will change to a creature called the bear monkey. Unlike the spider monkey, the bear monkey doesn't live in the tropical rainforest, but in the dry savanna. This is because of global warming. I think the tropical rainforest will become a dry savanna. Some of the physical adaptations that I think may take place include shorter limbs and torso because they don’t swing through trees anymore, no tail for the same reason, a longer jaw, because the bear monkey will need to eat dryer, harder foods, more dilated eyes because of more light incoming, also making it easier to spot predators in the open space, and bigger ears, also to sense predators in the open space, and lastly, lighter fur, bleached by the sun, but also helpful to try and camouflage in the dry, sunny area.
