The Giant Otter’s present habitat is the Rainforest and the predicted future one is the Savanna. The Rainforest is changing into a warmer, dryer environment. The Rainforest will start losing their trees and their bodies of water. Overall the Rainforest will turn into an environment with less trees, bodies of water, and less grass. I think it will change because of climate change. Climate change is making everything increasingly hotter. The warm climate is trapping the water in the atmosphere causing there to be less rain. With less rain there are less trees as well. The decrease of water causes my animal to have to find a better way to hold water so they can go longer without it. Also, with less water the Otter will need to adapt to more land movements like walking instead of swimming, digging, and occasionally climbing.
