Howler Monkey Future Creature

Current Howler Monkey habitats are canopy based. Their food, mostly leaves, are near them. Howler monkeys have teeth to help them eat the leaves of trees. They have long limbs for swinging between branches. Another trait that helps them survive in the rainforest is their hands, feet, and tail. All of these parts help grip branches, making the canopy an easy habitat to traverse. The prehensile tail is important. It’s strong, gripping onto trees and supporting the monkey’s entire body weight. When the rainforest changes into a savanna, Howler Monkeys will make changes. It will hide in any tree it comes across to hide from predators. It will lose some of its leg length, allowing it to walk around. The Howler Monkey will have to change its diet to allow more meat. When it’s hunting, it will crouch close to the ground, hiding in tall grasses with its lighter fur.
