An ocelot in the present has thick fur with unique patterns and they are small but they are still a big cat. Ocelots hunt their prey using the scent of their prey to track them down. They live in dense tropical amazon rainforests but if deforestation and climate change continues they will have to adapt to their new environment. Ocelots will adapt by getting thinner lighter color fur for the heat and they will get webbed feet so they can swim and hunt their prey in the water easier. Another adaptation that they will get is developed salt glands meaning that they will use these salt glands to drink the water that they will have to use. This adaptation will help them if the water floods the rainforest. These adaptations will help them survive in the future climate that is bound to happen.
