Bengal lizard

My animals future. My animal right now is endangered because of humans. They are endangered because of habit loss and pouching. They can weigh up to 600 lbs. They mostly eat deer, antelope ,gaurs and wild boars. Many live in private zoos. My animal in the future. It lives in the desert and has adapted to slither instead of walking so it can blend in with the desert. It has lost its black strips and most of its fur. It has a long tail to help gain its balance. It has stronger eyes to see in sandstorm. It eats small lizards and can go on to not eat for months. It burrows when it’s day time. It has a beak to eat cacti. It has an orange-ish underbelly. It has hoofs for hot sand. It can also go months without drinking water. It doesn’t have a tongue.
