Right now, jaguars live mainly in swamps and wooded areas. Jaguars largest numbers are in the Amazon rain forest. Their colors are normally orange to tan, with black spots and a black stripe down the center of their backs. They eat capybara, deer, birds, and fish. About 1,000 years in the future, Jaguars do not live in the rain forest. Now, they live in the deserts. They now survive on lizards, birds, and bugs. They can crack open cacti and go days without any water. This is because they are smaller. Jaguars are now known as Desert Jaguars. They are smaller, bigger ears, only have spots on their backs and now have a sandy color. They live underground during the day, only coming out from sunrise to sunset.
