Folivoras, more commonly known as sloths, are very peculiar animals from the rainforest habitat. In the present, these animals live most of their lives hanging on trees. They have long claws that help them have a better grip when holding on to the branches. Sloths also have thick fur that serves as camouflage. These features suit their low metabolism. In the future, due to changes in Earth’s temperature, sloths will live in savannas. In this hypothetical habitat where trees would no longer be as accessible, sloths would develop a faster metabolism, allowing them to run even in two feet if necessary. Its fur will be a lot thinner and less dark to match the landscape for camouflage and managing higher temperatures. Since they will no longer find as many trees to live in, their claws will become shorter, allowing them to move better and as a defense mechanism against predators.
