Future Creature

The animal that I picked for this project is a Harpy Eagle. The Harpy Eagle’s current adaptations are that it has short wings to squeeze in between spaces in the canopy. It also has sharp talons and a sharp beak to kill its prey and grab them out of the canopy.Climate change will affect the rainforest that this animal lives in. The amazon rainforest is expansive but deforestation and climate change will have a big effect on the environment because. There will be more natural disasters and more flooding which wouldn’t be that much of a problem if trees are becoming more scarce. Less trees will not let it to get food in the trees anymore because of deforestaition causing it to have a duller beak and talons. It will also have bigger wings as it doesn’t need smaller wings to fit through the canopy despite its big size.
