Tomato Frog

The Tomato Frog is a frog that may change in the future. They currently need to breathe air and have to have water to survive. When this frog is a tadpole they need water. Climate change is causing droughts, which is why this species may need to live out of the water. The frog also has a way of protecting itself. It can make its skin poisonous so predators will be poisoned if they touch or eat it. Climate change is also causing more cyclones with a higher amount of intensity. For the frog to survive, it will need to change. One way is they may lose their need to have water so they can just live underwater, or they could lose the need for air. The frog may also get a new way of protecting itself from humans so they don’t get used in the pet trade.
